十四行诗十八首原文

十四行诗十八首原文

以下是莎士比亚的十四行诗第十八首(Sonnet 18)的英文原文及常见的中文译文:

英文原文

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date; Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimmed; But thy eternal summer shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; Nor shall Death brag thou wanders in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

中文译文(常见版本之一)

我能否将你比作夏天? 你比夏日更可爱、更温婉; 狂风会吹落五月的娇蕊, 夏季的时光也短得可怜;

有时天眼如炬照得太酷烈, 它金色的面容常被遮蔽; 每一种美都终究会凋残, 难免遭时运或自然的剥蚀;

但你永恒的夏天却不会枯萎, 你所有的美丽也不会消逝; 死神也无法夸耀说你曾在他阴影里徘徊, 当你在不朽的诗篇中永葆青春年华;

只要人类能呼吸、眼睛看得见, 我这首诗就会长存,使你生命绵延。
